No Towel Method
Let’s start at the end,
Ingredients for: Raw Skin Glow Gla (That’s “Glow” with a little extra oomph)
- Grapeseed Oil
- Almond Oil
- Jojoba Oil
- Rosehip Oil
Boom Chaka-laka. Only 4 ingredients honey! We’re keeping it simple and potent. Make sure you acquire the options that are au natural and cold-pressed.
AHH SO MANY WORDS.
(Here’s the internet portion)
Think of Cold-pressed like this:
- Cold-pressed oils are extracted without high heat or harsh chemicals.
- It helps to preserve the oil’s integrity, keeping all those amazing vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids intact.
- You’re getting the purest, most nutrient-rich goodness for your skin, unlike some other extraction methods that can strip away these beneficial components. We want all that raw power for our glow!
I do about 1/3 cup of the grapeseed oil,
1/3 cup of the almond oil,
1/3 cup of the jojoba oil,
and just a kiss of rosehip oil – maybe about 1 teaspoon max
(imagine, closer to 1/80th of the total volume if you’re filling a standard bottle).
Remember, rosehip is potent! Start small and see how much your skin loves it. I keep my magic potion in a lovely non-transparent (amber or dark glass/plastic is best to protect the oils from light!) bottle with a squeeze nozzle tip for easy application.
Shout out to plastic because I be dropping shit.
** Tip for your Tip, if it doesn’t want to squirt. Instead of cutting it clean off, I cut about 75% around the top so the nozzle opens like a flap. It both works as a cover as you shake the bottles to mix the oils(remember, they may settle and separate. Science density shit) & prevents foreign particles from getting in easily. **
Because these are all beautiful, skin-loving oils, an emulsifier like aloe vera or shea butter, isn’t necessary for this method. The water on your skin from the shower acts as the “water” part of a temporary emulsion, helping these good sh*ts glide on and get naturally absorbed. Your skin will drink this right up!

Let’s Dive Deeper: The Power of These Glow-Getters
- Grapeseed Oil: This lightweight wonder absorbs super quickly, leaving your skin feeling silky, not greasy. It’s packed with antioxidants that fight off the bad guys (free radicals) and can help improve your skin’s elasticity and overall softness. Think of it as the smooth operator of the bunch, laying down a perfect base for that subtle sheen.
- Almond Oil (Sweet Almond, specifically!): Oh, almond oil! This one’s like a big hug for your skin. It’s rich in vitamin E and those oh-so-important fatty acids that deeply moisturize and soften. It helps to soothe any dryness and gives your skin that healthy, supple bounce and a beautiful, natural radiance.
- Jojoba Oil: This is the clever one! Jojoba oil is so similar to our skin’s natural oil (sebum) that it can actually help to balance oil production. Whether you’re oily or dry, jojoba can be your friend. It absorbs like a dream and helps the other oils penetrate even better. Plus, it adds a lovely, non-shiny glow.
- Rosehip Oil: This little powerhouse is a glow-boosting champ! Loaded with vitamin A and essential fatty acids, it’s known for helping to improve skin tone, fade the appearance of scars and dark spots (hyperpigmentation), and give you that vibrant, lit-from-within radiance. Remember, a little goes a long way with this potent gem!

The “No Towel” Method: My Simple Ritual for All-Day Radiance
Here’s the magic:
- Shower Time: Do your usual cleansing routine. Enjoy that steamy goodness! Take as long as your water bill and water temperature can handle.
- Don’t Reach for the Towel (Yet!): This is the key! When you’re done rinsing, don’t dry off completely. Your skin should still be nice and damp.
- Gla Time: Take a generous amount of your Raw Skin Glow Gla in your hands. (don’t ask me what a gla is, just feel the vibes)
- Massage Magic: Rub your hands together to warm the oil slightly and then massage it all over your damp body. Use gentle, circular motions. (or rough and tough, if that’s how you like it. No judgement)
- The Gentle Pat (Optional): As you massage, you’ll notice the water on your skin emulsifying slightly with the oil. This helps it absorb beautifully. If you feel like you have a little too much water lingering, you can give a very gentle pat with your hands – no vigorous rubbing! ..(unless you want, no judgement seriously. I don’t know you)
- Let It Soak: Allow the oils to absorb naturally into your skin. You’ll be left with skin that feels incredibly soft, hydrated, and has that gorgeous, healthy glow.
(Paragraph Break – insert your “skin glow journey” photos here with captions like “Fresh out of the shower,” “Sunlight glow,” “An hour later – still radiant!”, “End of day – the glow is real!”) ehh maybe. Just imagine.
Why This Works (My Non-Expert Take):
From what I’ve experienced, skipping the harsh towel rub helps to keep that natural moisture from your shower locked into your skin. The oils then create a protective barrier, preventing that hydration from evaporating and leaving you feeling dry and dull. Plus, these specific oils are packed with nutrients that feed your skin and enhance its natural luminosity. It’s like giving your skin a big, nourishing drink that lasts all day!

Please remember, I’m just a regular person sharing my personal experience and what works for me on this blog. I am not a doctor or a skincare expert. What works for my skin might not work for everyone. Always do a patch test on a small area of your skin before trying new ingredients all over your body, especially if you have sensitive skin or any known allergies. (I don’t have time for all that) yet if you have any concerns about your skin, please consult with a dermatologist.
So there you have it! My simple, four-ingredient “No Towel Method” for achieving that all-day raw skin glow. Give it a try and let me know in the comments how it works for you! Get ready to embrace your naturally radiant skin, woooooo!
